Baby #3 Reality

If I am not going to post every kick, jab & flutter of this pregnancy I suppose I should blog about the milestones.

I'm halfway through. I knew the first half would fly by because from finding out in October there is the usual rush of the holidays and then a trip to Maui all topped off by reaching the 20 week mark and having the Formal Anatomy Scan.

I dislike the ultrasonographer in my Dr's office and since she is only there one day a week I choose to go to the High Risk Clinic at the hospital. Because the purpose of the Seton Center is to work with the high risk patients they have the very best ultrasound technology. The rooms have large screen T.V's on the wall opposite the pt so that they can do their work and look at their screen and you can watch the whole thing, as opposed to the way they do it in the office which is "ummm ok let me do my thing and then I will turn the screen for a minute so that you can see" Blah! My way is so much more fun.

Another plus is that a former coworker of mine works in the Seton Center and so she has done my last 2 ultrasounds which is always fun!

This time was no different than the rest. Did we want to know the sex? Yes! So she scans, and scans, and scans, and the legs remain crossed and she confirms with us that we indeed have 2 girls at home, and she scans, and finally says "yeaaahhh, you can tell those girls to just scoot over and make some room for one more".

I was surprised... Joe was not! He knew it was going to be another girl. I kinda realized at that moment that I wanted it to be a boy, even though the thought scared me to death. But I am SO excited to be having another girl. I love my girlies, I know girl things, I have girl things (although Mia has ruined some to the point of needing to be replaced). And I am the 3rd girl so I have very high expectations of perfection for this child :o)

So Annie was right. When we told her later that day (which I would post on here however I can not get videos to load) I asked her if she thought Daddy would like another girl to which she replied "Well He likes Me!"

Mia is still in a life of oblivious bliss. I fear for the new childs life when it comes to her big sister Mia. I suppose she is as scrappy as she is because of the way she is treated by her big sister so this little one will be all the better for it as well :o)

I have tried without success to get Annie to feel some kicks this week, it always ends in a reenactment on her part of what the baby is doing in there. It includes some very realistic martial arts movements and saying things like "she is in there kicking and punching cause she wants out and can't find the door"

I love her

And to answer every ones question "no we have no idea what her name will be, and as in the past wont announce it till she is born if we finally do decide on one before then... which is not very likely" :o)

21 weeks

And this little girl has decided that she is a "baintee" person and wants this thing all the time :o)

Curlz :o)

Its About Time

I blogged.

Wonderful things happen around here

Everyday things happen around here

Things I want to look back on and remember happen around here

Yet I fail to Blog them like a good little memory keeper aka former Scrapbooker, turned, Hasn't developed a picture in a year and a half woman...

Fun little things they say that I never want to forget like this conversation that just went down between a certain 3 year old and myself

"Mom I love big peckers"
"excuse me?" as I turn around to look at her
"I love big peckers just like my daddy does" as she is holding up a toy red and green pePPER!!

I realized in our trip to Dayton tuesday to visit friends that she never stops talking... ever! She talked all the way to Dayton, 50min straight. That night I was trying to brush her teeth and she was trying to talk through the teeth brushing. She also likes me to floss her teeth (I know, what crazy 3 year old likes to have her teeth flossed?) I told her to stop trying to talk while I brush so she thought it would be ok to talk while we flossed. This doesnt work either. Neither does it work to try to taste the floss while mommy is trying to use the floss... this attempt ended us both in extreme giggles.

Last night she and I looked for Pink Baby with no avail and I sent her to bed without her. Her father came home and the looking resumed with no Pink baby to be found. He put her back to bed with a stand in baby doll. When she still wouldnt go to sleep we continued the search (I had seen her both on the kitchen counter and the pantry just hours before) I finally found her behind the TV. When I returned the lost baby to its owner she said sheepishly "oh the Alligators were getting her...for pretend" Ah yes, thank you for the clarification on that one because I was wondering why I had to fight off a mob of hungry alligators from around the television set.

And because I love you I will share the fact that if you freeze fresh (not brown) sliced bananas and then puree them in a food processor and add just a touch of PB and Coco powder it tastes like a mix between Ice Cream and Pudding and it is wonderful! I haven't made any sort of faux dessert during my fast but I was just too curious to try it. Annie and Mia and I shared a bowl of approx 3 bananas with 1T PB and 1 T cocoa powder. It was fun!

Kentucky is Not Maui

In Kentucky I wake up around 8:00 to a little face in mine either whining "im houngry" or saying "its a sunny day" weather it is or not. In Maui I wake up around 5:00 to a day I know will be sunny.

In Kentucky I don't jump out of bed fully rested and ready for a day of adventures, In Maui I do!

In Kentucky I go to bed between 10-11:00 fully exhausted but wondering what I actually accomplished in the day. In Maui I go to bed between 7:30-9 fully exhausted from a jam packed action filled adventure day.

In Kentucky any given commute consists of construction, traffic, some nice green hills depending on where you are going. In Maui a commute consists of breathtaking Ocean views filled with jumping whales and crashing waves as well as nice rolling hills (i guess they would technically be volcanic mountains).

In Kentucky when we go out to eat there are children that force attention onto themselves and away from a handsome husband sitting across from me. In Maui there is just a handsome husband and a friendly sister and brother in law to hold many conversations with.

In Kentucky I have bulk taco seasoning in the pantry and eat beef tacos at least weekly because they are cheap and they make my husband happy. In Maui there are FISH TACOS... they make me happy!

In Kentucky there is laundry, dishes, bills, diapers etc. In Maui I ran the dishwasher and did a load of laundry once!

In Kentucky there is sun shine that looks deceptively warm in January. In Maui there is warm sunshine in January!!

In Kentucky there are people who know me and so I don't dare put on a wetsuit while pregnant for fear that someone i know might see me. In Maui I throw on a wet suit no questions asked no fears... until my baby sister puts a picture of me in said wetsuit on the Internet!! :o)

In Maui the saying is "No worries"
However in Kentucky there is my babies and my family and my friends and many worries that I would gladly take any day with my hope and happiness in Jesus...and a little bit of hope that there might be another trip sometime to someplace wonderful like Maui!

Hula Dancers Damning Money & Mean Babies

Cutest Hula Girls you have ever seen!!

I hear a pounding sound and "Damn! Damn, Damn!!...." I wander into the dining room and find Annie who looks up and says "Mama, look at this penny, I am damming it with my fork.... Dam!!" as she is pounding her fork down on a dime. I crack up and tell her to stop Damming money its time for dinner :o)

After dinner, Joe has left for his first class of the new quarter and the girls are eating ice cream at the table. My stomach growls and Annie says "Mama, your baby, He is So Mean!... I mean HER is so mean... her just say GRRRR"
