This is what I shall call the great blog photo dump. You know when you see something you think would make a great blog post? And you know how most bloggers save those posts in a file and share them every once in a while throwing them out there like these brilliant things are always on their minds and they have nothing better to do than blog about them? That is how I used to be when I lived in my pseudo reality world instead of the real world where I sit here and type an entire paragraph trying to decide if the baby's cry is to a decibel that is 1.loud enough to wake her sisters or 2. that means she really isn't going to take a nap right now.....wait... yep she quieted down just enough to keep on bloggin' :o)

5 hours later... ahh reality. Baby was NOT ready for a nap but now we find ourselves once again. One baby in bed, and the big girls are playing "quiet time" in their room before bed, but whatever they are playing it sounds like they are coming through the floor so I can only imagine this blogging session wont last long either...
I baked some cookies for a fundraiser and Carly was just not happy about it. So I did what any attachment parent would do and threw her on my back... problem is that this girl is SO not an attachment parent and it was a first for me. It worked, I got my cookies baked, you might catch me doing it again for convenience but it was not enjoyed by all, she was only happy in there for a little while! The girls did not help me bake cookies for the fundraiser, however they did help me make chocolate chip cookies to celebrate Fat Tuesday! They were Oh so good and one would think that 5 batches of cookies in 3 days would be enough to make any girl satisfied but not me. I love to bake and I have the itch again... only I think I'll do muffins this time.
Annie helped her daddy unload an entire truckload of firewood Saturday morning! She was out there for a really long time and it was really cold. She loves helping her daddy!
I found this wonderful blanket at Hobby Lobby last week and it was my every blanket dream come true. I told myself I didn't need it and left it on the shelf. Then Sunday I noticed in the paper that throws were half off so I decided to run in today and treat myself to dream blanket that would make all of my living room decorating complete... OR NOT!! Nothing other than the look and feel of this blanket belongs in my house. $79.99! Are you kidding me!?! Spot Clean ONLY!?! I think not! For decoration only! Who pays eighty bucks for a decorative blanket!? OHHH it hurt! But I left it on the shelf very disappointed in Hobby Lobby for the first time ever!
This one excites the stinkin heck out of me! We have lived here at our lovely home for almost 3 years now and there is little to nothing on the walls. I just couldn't commit, couldn't decide. Well Finally! After requesting Homegoods giftcard from my mother and picking out the three green/gray frames 16 months ago, I finally have my collage wall complete! The bird picture was a Target find that I paid the full $15 for because I was just that committed to getting this thing done. Two of the frames hold pictures that I purchased off of Etsy and I am soo in love with them! The Z was a last minute Hobby Lobby find and my great grandmothers little plate in the middle was what started the whole entire theme of the living room in the first place. I love the colors of the flowers and the leaves and the gold rim. The funniest part about it is that Joe can't stand that I asked him to hang the plate on the wall. He just doesn't think plates should be hung on the wall. However it is what gets the most compliments so far, his guy friend even said something about liking it which I thought was GREAT!
And then there are the little shelves in the kitchen that Joe's mom set aside for me when she was cleaning out her basement. They were your typical 70's brown and they are actually meant to be hung the other way, I have them hanging upside down. I painted them white and "patiently" waited for my hubby to get the hardware needed to hang them in the kitchen. I just love how it turned out!
On a side note, if you are breathing and on the Internet these days you know that banners and garland are The Thing right now. I have been eyeing heart garland for quite a while after making one for myself last year and then losing it. My amazing friend Jess made me some and she didn't even know I had been coveting everyone elses, shes great like that :o)
Ummm this one is a little embarrassing, but too good not to share. Mia picked up Carly's bottle and threw it back before I could tell her not to. I don't know why I find this so very gross, not two years ago she was drinking the same thing, but... well... shes a big kid now and so I just find it gross that she is drinking breast milk. First she said "mmm dis good" then she took another drink and wrinkled her nose and said "mommy I fink dis is old" haha!
OK so NO I did not see Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but instead found it amusing that when our church facilities guy sent me a picture of the marque outside theater 10 saying "Grace Fellowship Church" our marquee outside the nursery said this! Now it is a joke for us to check out each week what we are currently calling our nursery. Last week it was "Gangster Squad"
Annie Cut her own hair with tiny little manicuring scissors... nuff said.
Sometimes you do things in life just for the cool points... roasting marshmallows in the den earned me a few that day :o)
Teeth+Misery+Cold Carrot= happy baby for 5 minutes
We have a shower stall in our downstairs bathroom that we never use... for showering. It is one of the girls favorite places to play and it cracks me up! If you can't find something... always check the shower. Who knew?
Ohhhh bliss!
Cheap crayon on the floor+crawling baby=creepy black wax like junk in babys mouth... oh and of course the teething runny nose.
Ohio Valley Weather = sunny and 55 degrees one day and 3+ inches of big giant snowflakes the next, which melted as soon as it stopped but man it was a good one while it lasted!
There you have it folks. Weeks of pictures snapped by my phone and millions of pounds of weight off of my shoulders to blog about them all. I think I shall reward myself and go watch the season finale of Downton Abbey... I adore it!
